Remember the Google Countdown to 2010 post? For those of you that do not recall, clicking the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button on the Google homepage led to a countdown in seconds to the new year. Well now that 1/1 is here and past, what happened to the countdown?
The answer is this:An animated fireworks display from Google!

Tech Airlines was registered and launched on August 5, 2009 and grew much faster than we expected in the first few months.
We have published a total of 90 (Update 12/31: 98) articles in the past 5 months, which is a lot less than we had originally planned, and therefore, we are currently trying to publish at least one article daily in 2010.

Google is always filled with easter eggs here and there. Today, I randomly clicked on the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button expecting to get the usual explanation of the button since I didn’t type anything in, but got a mysterious number count down instead. I tried it again in another browser and the same thing occurred.
Apparently, Google is counting down the number of seconds until 2010… and perhaps a little surprise they might have? Who knows what will happen when it hits [...]
