Just how large is Google? They have something in almost every area of the web, including search (primary product), email (Gmail), advertisements (Adsense, Adwords, and Doubleclick), videos (YouTube), blogging (Blogger), browsers (Chrome), operating systems (Chrome OS), and much much more. They have made hundreds of acquisitions in the past and their shopping spree doesn’t show signs of slowing down.

    Nice picture! Very interesting -

    I think it’s common knowledge how I feel about Google:
    A privacy-invasive internet monopoly that should be avoided at all costs.

    As for the future of the internet and Google, I think (like all other companies) Google will eventually run out of steam and then a new, young company will start up, and this cycle will continue. Of course, I doubt this will happen anytime soon. For now, whether we like it or not, Google’s here and here to stay.

      True, companies all will run out of steam eventually, but for Google this won’t be happening for a very long time. Even when new companies are born, if Google likes their ideas, Google will try to acquire the company. Their shopping spree doesn’t show any signs of showing down.

    Google wants to control every aspect of Internet. But I don’t think they are as privacy-invasive as Facebook is.
