Dropbox Step 21. Where could this be?
Are you using Dropbox? Remember our recent article about ways to maximize your free Dropbox storage space? Well it looks like you can now get another 1 GB absolutely free, but it’s not nearly as easy as last time (but definitely much more fun).
Dropbox has recently launched Dropquest, an online 30 step scavenger hunt and puzzle, and this will be going on for the next two weeks.
Completing each step will earn you a bit of extra space. Just starting the quest gives you a nifty 20 MB (this counts as Step 1).
The quest is also timed starting from when you click the Let’s get started button. The fastest participants also get some nifty bonus prizes.
What does this even mean?
If you get stuck, there are some hints available on the Dropbox forums and of course, all around the web (but seriously, what’s the fun in just looking up the solutions?).
Each step could involve a math problem, a puzzle, a URL, or something completely random. If you manage to figure out a URL corresponding to a later step that you’re not up to, you might notice it will result in a 404 Error, so no skipping ahead.
If you’re a Dropbox user, I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s extremely fun and who doesn’t like 1 GB of free space?
