Earn Free Dropbox Space with 2nd Annual Dropquest

DropquestRemember last year’s Dropquest? Dropquest was a new puzzle contest created by Dropbox where users could complete a multi-step challenge, scavenger hunt, and puzzle to earn free storage space. Storage is earned for completing each step and by the end, the total amount of bonus storage awarded was 1 GB. Additional prizes were provided to those who were one of the first to complete the challenge.

It looks like this is going to run again this year, except Dropbox claims that Droquest II will be much more difficult.

Like last year, completing the challenge earns your account an extra 1 GB for life. Additional prizes (on top of the 1 GB bonus) are as follows:

1st place (1) Dropbox employee hoodie, LIMITED EDITION Dropbox Hack Week t-shirt, Dropbox drawing signed by the entire Dropbox team, invitation to help write the next Dropquest, 100 GB for life
2nd place (10) Dropbox employee hoodie, Dropbox t-shirt, 20 GB for life
3rd place (15) Dropbox t-shirt, 5 GB for life
4th place (50) 2 GB for life
5th place (100) 1 GB for life

The winner last year took less than 2 hours to complete Dropquest but Dropbox doubts anyone could spend less than 5 hours on this year’s challenge.

To get started, head to the start page, although the link isn’t going to work until May 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM PDT (GMT -7).
