It looks red to me.
The top segment is sort of a ruddy light brown; barely red. As the larger and lower the sections become, it slowly loses its tinges of red to turn into a purer brown color.
Either way, trees are supposed to be green, not red or brown. I blame the graphic designer of this website. He is obviously very mediocre.
Well..If you consider another point that the navigation menu is red, maybe the graphic designer is just trying to match the colour =D
