Google Chrome 4 Beta was released somewhere around a week ago. Here’s a roundup of the beta for those of you who have not heard of it yet.
On the outside, Chrome 4 Beta looks the same as Chrome 3, and feels the same. The only noticeable difference is the new “sync bookmarks” option, and a few “unofficial” extensions for Chrome, such as WOT. Below is a screenshot of the new “tools” menu.

Notice the “Synchronize my bookmarks” option. Let’s press on it, and see what happens.

Hmm, it asks me to sign in. After signing in…

Success! Google Chrome will now synchronize my bookmarks with my Google account. If I had this feature a few weeks ago, then I wouldn’t have had to go through a painful process of restoring my bookmarks after wiping my computer clean with Windows 7.
Chrome Beta appears to have a few performance issues. Sometimes, a random tab, such as Yahoo! or Youtube, will use up 25% of my CPU because of the Flash running on the page. In addition, Youtube videos are now prone to random freezes, forcing me to use Firefox to view videos. Hopefully Google will clear this up for us with the next beta or stable release of 4.

Erm… yeah. I never use bookmarks anyways, so synchronizing bookmarks is useless. Besides this, Chrome 4 looks exactly the same as the previous version. It’s true that Youtube is really slow on this web browser, because I tried it. Besides that, it’s fine.
