If your site has poor SEO, search engines might not know what to categorize your site under and you may receive traffic from users that aren’t interested, which will in turn increase your bounce rate, and high bounce rates will affect your SERP (Search Engine Ranking.

A tool known as the Pineberry SEO Analysis Tool analyzes your site’s SEO by examining areas like meta description, meta keywords, title, h1 tags, text relevancy, etc… Its okay if you don’t score 100/100 as that is quite difficult. I would say aim for at least 80 points.

Note that this tool does not actually do anything about your SEO. It only tells you what areas your site needs work on and gives you tips on how to improve it.

In addition, if you want your SEO to be good, avoid using flash when not needed especially for navigation menus or even worse, never make the entire website flash. With flash, while your users will see them and the links, search engines typically do not unless you added SEO friendly text version behind it. What search engines WILL see however is flash embed codes and the URL of the flash file. Yes, flash looks nice, but if you’re going to make a website successful and Search Engine friendly, lose the flash.
